Geolocation

GPS location captured and recorded in the ticket

The Geolocation module captures the browser location of the user or technician and automatically inserts the address into the ticket follow-up. For field service, this ensures the position at the time of service is recorded in the ticket without manual input.

Features

One-click GPS location capture in the browser

Coordinate-to-address conversion (reverse geocoding)

Automatic address insertion in the ticket follow-up

Compatible with smartphones and tablets for field use

Direct link to view on Google Maps

Date and time recording of each location capture

How it works

Step 1

Activate in the ticket

In the ticket follow-up form, the technician clicks 'Capture Location'. The browser requests geolocation permission.

Step 2

Location is captured

GPS coordinates are obtained from the device and sent to the plugin, which performs reverse geocoding to obtain the full address.

Step 3

Address inserted in the follow-up

The address is automatically inserted into the follow-up field, with a link to the map. The technician can edit it before saving.
