Rule Extender

Populate user fields automatically through GLPI rules

GLPI lets you use AD/LDAP criteria (group, OU, email domain) in its automatic user assignment rules, but it offers no actions to populate fields such as Location, Supervisor, Category, and Title. Rule Extender fills exactly that gap.

Features

Assigns a Location to the user through authorization rules

Assigns the user's Supervisor, Category, and Title

Compatible with native RuleRight AD/LDAP criteria

How it works

Step 1

Enable the module

Enable Rule Extender on the NexTool Modules page.

Step 2

Create the rule

Under Administration → Rules → Authorizations assignment rules, create or edit a rule with your AD/LDAP criteria.

Step 3

Add the actions

Add the new "Assign" actions (Location, Supervisor, Category, Title) with the values you want; the user fields are populated on the next sync or login.
