My Dashboard
GLPI indicators on a dashboard built your team's way
My Dashboard gives GLPI 11 and 12 its own dashboard area, under the Dashboards > NexTool menu, built on GLPI's own dashboard engine: you drag and resize cards, use the native counters and charts and keep several dashboards, each shared with whoever needs to see it. On first access, the module creates a starter dashboard with tickets, problems, changes, late tickets and charts by category and by source. It comes included with Contract Hours and with upcoming NexTool modules that ship ready-made dashboards.
Features
Each card can have its own name, icon, color and text color, and numeric cards come in two formats: centered scoreboard or label on top. The Period filter stores the rule, not the dates: previous or next days, weeks, months, quarters or years, the current period or a date range, and "This month" stays the current month in the months that follow. The Entity filter, with the Include sub-entities option, lists only the entities each person can access.
Whoever edits the dashboard saves the current filters as the default, can hide the filter bar to keep the screen simple, and copies a link that opens the same dashboard with the same filters for anyone who has access to it. NexTool modules also bring ready-made cards and dashboards: with Contract Hours come the Operations and Management dashboards and the hours contract filter. When a module updates the layout of a ready-made dashboard, edit mode shows what changes, and nothing is replaced until you click Apply.
How it works
Enable the module
Enable My Dashboard in the NexTool module catalog. The Dashboards > NexTool menu appears for profiles with the module permission.
Choose who edits
In the profile, grant the permission to view the module so people can open the dashboards, and the native GLPI right over all dashboards to create, edit and delete them. Then log out and back in to GLPI.
Build the dashboard
In edit mode, add native or NexTool module cards, adjust name, icon and color, add the filters and save the current filters as the dashboard default.
Share and follow up
Share the dashboard through GLPI itself or copy the link with the filters. Whoever opens it sees the numbers with the default filter and, when the filter bar is visible, picks another period or entity.
